The depth of God’s love for us is an unimaginable reality that can only be appreciated with faith. The language of faith teaches us new terms to describe how God draws us into the communion of his love by finding grace in the unthinkable, drawing near to overcome any distance, and rebuilding again so that return is always possible. The love that has drawn us gives us the confidence to risk loving others so that we can all be drawn together.
Point #1: Love will find grace. Verse 31:2 Thus says the LORD: The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest,
Point #2: Love will draw near. Verse 31:3 the LORD appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
Point #3: Love will rebuild again. Verse 31:4 Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall take your tambourines, and go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.
