Sermon text: Acts 16:6-15
Point #1: Christian hospitality requires an eager attentiveness to others that is shaped by a sensitivity for God.
Point #2: Christian hospitality requires an open heart that is evidence of being immersed in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Point #3: Christian hospitality requires that we allow the Holy Spirit to carve out space and time in our lives for others.
The church is a community that should be marked by Christian hospitality. Christian hospitality is not just about opening our pantries, our wallets, or our doors; but genuinely opening our hearts to guests so they can become neighbors and neighbors can become family. When God changes our status from rebel to redeemed, one of the signs is that he opens our hearts to become “guest ready” for His presence and His presence as experienced through others.
