In today’s lesson we learn 10 of the 12 spies discouraged the people by suggesting that they could not inherit the land promised by God. The children of Israel rebelled against God, and as a result, He decreed that they wander in the desert for 40 years, with their children entering the promise land instead of them.
Wow! The Prophet Isaiah gives us a full plate with this week’s lesson, that The Redeemer will come! Isaiah 59 opens up with the reminder that no matter the current state of affairs that God indeed had not changed.
In our lesson today we learned of the Feasts of Booths “Tabernacles” known as Sukkoth. The Festival of Booths (also known as Tabernacles) was so named because during those days they were to construct booths in which to live.
