As a spiritually mature believer it is highly expected of one to choose the love for a fellow believer, especially new converts, over expressing the liberty and freedom we have in Christ Jesus.

In this week's lesson we are reminded that fornication is a sin that we should flee from at all times.
Our Lesson text, found in 1 Corinthians 3:10-23, helps us to understand that Jesus Christ is the one who is the builder of the church, and is therefore the foundation that it is built upon.
During Paul’s day, Greek culture was dominant and the Greeks were proud of their wisdom. Because of this atmosphere, the Corinthian believers were subject to following human wisdom which resulted in dividing the church. In this week’s lesson, Paul encouraged the Christians in Corinth to avoid trusting in human wisdom and focus on God’s wisdom.
Paul’s message of unity to the Christians in Corinth is something we in today’s church should remember and reflect on when conflicts arise.
We find in this week’s lesson followers of Christ not so different from us. They have wrestled with the reality of unmet expectations when Christ is crucified.
