We see in the lesson today, in 2 Samuel brings about themes of temptation, sin, power, responsibility, consequences, and deceptions.
Today’s lesson reveals how one man’s anger and pride led to his disciplinary actions by God, yet in spite of Moses’ shortcomings, it did not detour God’s faithfulness to His word and His people.
In the lesson text today we see once again the matchless and precious grace of God’s love poured out for His people by way of the Day of Atonement. Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice was superior to the Old Testament Day of atonement (Hebrew 10:10).
