Sermon Title: Love Seeing You
Sermon Proper: (Love Seeing You –1 John 3:1-3) God’s love is foreign to humankind in that we cannot understand the magnitude of such love. It astonishes, amazes, and creates wonder within those who properly reflect upon it. This great love makes us part of him, shifts us from seeing fear to perceiving love, and injects our imagination with a vibrant hope that motivates purity.
Scripture: 1 John 3:1-3
Point #1: Reflect on God’s love that makes us part of him. 1 John 3:1 See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are.
Point #2: Shift from seeing fear to perceiving love. 1:John 3:2 Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is.
Point #3: Imagine a love for God so vibrant that motivates purity. 1 John 3:3 And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
