St. John 6:35-40
Disciples are called to be witnesses to the goodness of God that reveals Jesus as the Bread of Life. We come to God by responding to the divine work by believing that God will meet all our needs. Believing that Jesus is the Bread of Life means that he will satisfy our deepest needs, sustain us against every threat, and save us with His life.
Point #1: Believe that Jesus will satisfy our deepest needs. John 6:35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
Point #2: Believe that Jesus will sustain us against every threat. John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.
Point #3: Believe that Jesus will save us with his life. John 6:40 This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day.
