Sermon Title: No Shortcuts
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 7:13 (KJV)
There are no shortcuts to our destiny in God. While God is not opposed to efficiency we must resist the temptation to take shortcuts to avoid God’s path of growth and transformation. Believers have to develop an eye to perceive God’s work, an attitude to accept God’s work, and the discipline to deal with the difficulties of God’s work.
Point #1: Develop an eye to perceive God’s work. Ecclesiastes 7:13 (ESV) Consider the work of God: who can make straight what he has made crooked?
Point #2: Develop an attitude to accept God’s work. Ecclesiastes 7:13 (NLT) Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked?
Point #3: Develop the discipline to deal with the difficulties of God’s work. Ecclesiastes 7:13 (GNT) Think about what God has done. How can anyone straighten out what God has made crooked?
