We are so blessed to have made it into a new year. This January, we pray you join us in a 21-Day Consecration: Eat. Enjoy. Engage. This comprehensive consecration will focus on our spiritual, mental, and physical development for the new year. Join us Monday, January 4th – Sunday, January 24th for this corporate time of consecration unto the Lord.
Eat. *No Meat, No Sweets
For 21 days we will be refraining from meat and sweets. This is our typical “no meat, no sweets” consecration. You can find lots of recipes and ideas online to recreate vegetarian versions of your favorite meals. If you feel stuck, text or call a member to get inspired with a creative, new meal!
Enjoy. *Media Free Monday
During our consecration, Monday will be the designated time to unplug from media! Minimize your online and streaming activities for a day of rest. Enjoy this special time of rest with the Lord free from distractions, notifications, or scrolling. The dates for Media Free Mondays are: January 4th, 11th, and 18th.
Engage. *Friday Night Prayer
As the Negro spiritual says, “When we all get together, what a time!” Our time of engagement together will be on Friday nights during corporate prayer. We are asking for full participation from the congregation on Friday January 8th, 15th, and the 22nd for corporate prayer. Prayer is held every Friday at 6:30pm via conference call. Fill out the form below if you need the log-in information.
Scripture References
Here are the focus scriptures for Shekinah’s 21-Day Consecration: Eat. Enjoy. Engage. (Matthew 28:18-20 and Ephesians 4:10-16)
18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:18-20 NRSV
10 He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.) 11 The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. 14 We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. 15 But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.
Ephesians 4:10-16 NRSV
