Scripture to Memorize
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God.
II Timothy 1:8
Lesson Overview
The Roman government had arrested Paul and would soon execute him. As Paul awaited death, he wrote Timothy one final letter to encourage him to remain faithful in his ministry. This week’s lesson will stress four important truths related to Paul’s overall purpose. First, he was confident that Timothy would devotedly serve the Lord at Ephesus. Second, God had given him all he needed to be an effective minister. Third, Timothy was to rekindle the spiritual gift he had received from the Lord. Fourth, he had excellent examples to follow in remaining loyal to Christ.
Life Awareness
The spiritual life is often portrayed as a race. Believers, however, should not think of it as a short sprint. Instead, the spiritual life is similar to a grueling marathon. In order to successfully complete it, believers need to be disciplined and dedicated. They also must have the courage to go against the crowd and endure ridicule. Their allegiance to Christ should be wholehearted and unwavering.

I agree that the Christian Life isn’t a walk around the block, but a lifestyle that one must submit and be re-transformed to (mindset). Highlighting that this is more of a marathon, then a sprint is a key point which I agree to being that we live in a microwavable world.
Such an importance of being reminded solid illuminating of the word..
