Here are your prophetic confessions for courage this week!
Sermon Scripture: Exodus 1:15-21
Point #1: Courage fears God enough to do the right thing even when we are afraid. Verse 17 But the midwives feared God; they did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but they let the boys live.
Prophetic Confession #1: Great King, thank you for the courage to fear you enough to do the right thing even when we are afraid.
Point #2: Courage faces our unique dilemmas even when there’s risk that we might mess up. Verse 19 The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them.”
Prophetic Confession #2: Son of Man, grant us the courage to face the stressful dilemmas of our time with humility.
Point #3: Courage focuses on helping others succeed in areas that we may still have desires in. Verse 20 So God dealt well with the midwives; and the people multiplied and became very strong.
Prophetic Confession #3: Spirit of Truth, thank you for the courage to help others succeed even as we have desires of our own.
