Scripture to Memorize
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith”
Galatians 6:10
Lesson Overview
In the final portion of the letter, Paul gave some specifics on how the body of Christ should demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit. Sinners should be restored and burdens should be shared. Realistic self-evaluation should be made and teachers should be supported. Paul reminded the Galatians that all will reap the consequences of what they do. Therefore, believers should persevere in pleasing the Spirit and doing good. Only then would they find God’s peace in their lives.
Life Awareness
There are times when we stumble and need to be restored to the path of godliness. This is where compassionate, mature Christians come into the picture. God uses them to firmly, but lovingly, deal with our faults and help us return to spiritual health. At first, the task can seem unpleasant, especially as we go through the process of repentance. Although the process is often painful, it is worth it.
