Scripture to Memorize
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” (Galatians 3:13).
Lesson Overview
In this week’s lesson, we will learn about the condemnation associated with the Mosaic Law. We will see that we cannot be freed from the Law by observing some or even most of its rules. No matter how hard we try, we cannot save ourselves. We must turn to Christ and believe that He shed His blood on the cross to provide true and lasting forgiveness and freedom. He became our sacrifice not only to redeem us from the Law’s curse but also to fulfill God’s promise to Abraham through the gift of the Spirit.
Life Awareness
The good news of God’s grace in Christ is easy to understand. Yet for some people it is difficult to accept. Doubters wonder how something so profound as salvation can be available simply by trusting in Christ. They imagine they have to heed certain rules and avoid violating others in order to be saved.
As we will see in this week’s lesson, keeping the law cannot meet our needs for redemption. One of the primary lessons of the Old Testament Scripture is that we are not able to obey the Law unto salvation. Only faith in Christ can provide us with forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

Listening to you for Wednesday’s Bible Study I was once again encouraged by the lesson on Galatians. I was encouraged to witness the Holy Spirit working through you to speak to my heart.
We are so glad you have been enjoying this study!
