Our lesson this week reminds us that overcoming Satan’s temptations can be done through studying and obedience to God’s word.
During Paul’s day, Greek culture was dominant and the Greeks were proud of their wisdom. Because of this atmosphere, the Corinthian believers were subject to following human wisdom which resulted in dividing the church. In this week’s lesson, Paul encouraged the Christians in Corinth to avoid trusting in human wisdom and focus on God’s wisdom.
