Devoted to Love – Acts 2:42-47 ESV
God shapes our desire through worship. Worship is intended by God to shape our desires toward him. As God reforms our hearts through the spiritual practices we enact; our devotion is part of an ancient legacy that has produced wonder and awe as God works among us, our devotion points to how we share abundant living with one another, and our devotion will create unmatched satisfaction and enjoyment.
Point #1: Our devotion for God has produced wonder and awe as God works among us. Verse 2:43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.
Point #2: Our devotion points to how we share abundant living with one another. Verse 2:44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
Point #3: Our devotion will create unmatched satisfaction and enjoyment. Verse 2:46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts.
