Sermon Text: Matthew 24:3-13
Meaningful maturity demands that we remain resolute in our faith until the end that God has committed to fulfilling in our lives. Christ saves us with the expectation that we will endure to the end by being determined to believe the truth rather than desperate to believe a lie. Trials, including famine, are meaningful tests that can reinforce the purpose of order, fuel the flame of love, and strengthen the muscle of persistence that leads to continued reconciliation with God.
Point #1: Enduring to the end requires that we reinforce the purpose of God’s order in our life. Verse 24:11-12 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because of the increase of lawlessness,
Point #2: Enduring to the end demands that we fuel the flame of Christ love in our hearts. Verse 24:12 And because of the increase of lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold.
Point #3: Enduring to the end calls us to strengthen the muscle of persistence during times of crisis. Verse 24:3 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
